BOAST has compiled a directory of local community service, volunteer, and fund raising opportunities for children ages five and up. The directory is available as a booklet and an interactive Web site and includes a list of organizations and businesses that offer youth volunteer positions, as well as, information about what each volunteer job entails, what age group children are eligible, whom the kids should contact, etc.
We hope that this directory will aid young people in finding projects that interest them and therefore generate enthusiasm for community service. Giving youth a chance to get involved will help them to form meaningful relationships with adults and feel more appreciated in the process. Kids are looking for ways to improve the places in their hometowns and have fun doing something they love. Organizations will find that not only can children make dedicated and enthusiastic workers, but they often offer fresh ideas and a new perspective. Kids can accomplish many things if we only give them a chance.
If you are looking for YOUTH volunteers, or would appreciate monetary donations from youth fund raising projects, then you may want to be included in our directory. Fill out the form which can be accessed by clicking the ENTRY button below.
This is a great opportunity to inform the community about your business or organization and to show support for local youth. With just a little effort, we can make a big difference.
